Music Theatre Louisville Auditions for 1776, Nunsense, and Annie.
Call For:
Girls – Ages 8-14 (there will be no roles for boys ages 8-14 this year)
Men and Women – Ages 15 and older
Appointments:
MTL auditions are by appointment only. We will begin taking appointments on Monday, February 15 at 10 am. You may schedule an appointment by calling 498-2436. Please do not email a request for an appointment and do not call to schedule before Monday, February 15 at 10 am.
Casting:
All casting will be completed by Friday, April 2, 2010.

4-10 pm Annie Auditions Ages 8-14 (Girls Only)
Saturday, March 13:
9 am – 12 pm Annie Auditions Ages 8-14 (Girls Only)
1-5 pm Season Auditions Ages 15 and older (All)
Friday, March 19:
4-10 pm Annie Auditions Ages 8-14 (Girls Only)
Saturday, March 20:
9 am – 12 pm Annie Auditions Ages 8-14 (Girls Only)
1-5 pm Season Auditions Ages 15 and older (All)
CALLBACKS:
Saturday, March 20 1776 6 pm – finished
Sunday, March 21 Annie 9 am – 1 pm
Nunsense 2 pm – finished
Requirements:
Song:
Each auditionee will sing 16 bars (roughly 30 seconds) of an up tempo, broadway style song. You are asked to bring the piano sheet music with you to your audition. We ask that you not sing A Capella or to a CD.
For those 8-14 auditioning for Annie, we ask that you NOT sing a song from Annie, but choose another song suited to your vocal range.
Dance:
This year there will be NO Dance Portion for Auditions. There will only be a dance portion for the callbacks, which will be learned in each callback session.
Monologue:
You will need to prepare a 60 second monologue to accompany your vocal audition. Monologues should be contemporary.
For those 8-14 auditioning for Annie, we ask that you choose a comedic monologue.
Headshots and resumes:
For 2010 auditions, we will post an audition form on our website starting February 15. We ask that you please bring a completed form with you to auditions.
Please bring 1 copy of your resume along with 1 headshot to auditions. Headshots should be of the whole face, black and white or color, and preferably 4 x 6 or larger. If you do not have a professional headshot, don’t worry! Yearbook photos will work fine, or take a photograph in the same style as a yearbook photo and bring a printed copy with you. Do not bring a photocopy.
